Installing TriPanel® between joists

TriPanel® has been developed for dry, quick installation between timber battens or joists.

Step 1. Prepare the joists by creating notches for pipe to pass between bays, insulating with mineral wool and fitting battens in preparation for the plywood platforms.

Step 2. Fit the plywood platforms to the battens leaving a 25mm gap for the polystyrene TriPanel®.

Step 3. With the TriPanels cut to size according to chosen pipe spacings, fit the panels along each joist bay, starting at the end of the notch.

Step 4. Fit the heat diffuser plates into the tracked TriPanels leaving a small gap between plates and stopping just shy of the pipe turns.

Step 5. Starting from the room furthest from the manifold, lay the pipe following your bespoke design drawings. Continue until there is just enough tube remaining to return to the manifold.

Step 6. Once the correct lengths of tube are laid, trim excess coil length and connect to the manifold as described in your Nu-Heat Installation Manual. You can then fill and pressure test the system before fitting the moisture resistant chipboard.
